Family sessions in your home are some of my favorite because it allows you and your kids to be more comfortable and personal. Your home is where you get to hangout the most, laugh, and love on each other so having photos of these moments is so sweet and irreplaceable. Your kids will get to see where they grew up and what you looked like in such a special season of life.

Deciding to have your family photos taken in your home can seem overwhelming and you may feel like it won't be as aesthetically pleasing than a staged studio - but I promise, that is not the case at all!

Here are some quick tips to feel more prepared for your In-Home Session:

Clear clutter but you don't need to deep clean! (Focus on putting away laundry, mail, and extra toys that can be hidden)

Talk with your kids! Tell them how you're going to take photos but that they aren't going to have to smile at the camera the entire time. It's going to be fun and special because they'll have photos of their childhood home to keep forever!
